Prayer

Praying alone: St John's is open everyday between 10:00am - 3:00pm weekdays and 10:00am - 1:00pm on Saturdays for those who wish to come in and pray. Events for seniors

Captain's Table: When? The first Saturday of each month. Where? St. Andrew's Church Hall What? A lunch club for seniors and those who live alone. Children

Children’s groups take place on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays during the 10:30am service. We spend the first part of the service together in church with the children usually leaving for their groups after the children’s talk. Groups take place in the Schoolrooms, which is located a short distance across the green outside St John’s. Fellowship groups

We currently have approximately 150 people meeting in fourteen Fellowship Groups in the parish. When? These are midweek groups, meeting twice a month on either a Tuesday or a Wednesday evening. Where? The groups meet in the host's homes, all of which are situated primarily in Yeovil, but with a couple in Sherborne. What? Music group

At St John's we are blessed with a large and faithfully committed group of musicians who play for many of our services. The band meets every Monday evening to rehearse for the coming services.   “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.”

Women’s ministry

TCP (tea, croissant and prayer or toast, coffee and prayer...take your pick!):
When? This group meets once a month on the fourth Saturday, from 9:00 till 10:15am. Where? In the downstairs room of the Schoolroom's building. What? At this group a continental breakfast is shared, conversations will ebb and flow, lives are shared, prayers are spoken, all in a supportive and informal space.
