If you have a new baby in your household, many congratulations!

A service for your child is a great thing to be thinking about. If you live in our parish, or are members of St. John’s, and would like to find out more about a service for your child here, please first of all contact us.

The Church of England has two options:

• A Service of Thanksgiving for the gift of a child. This is designed to help the family and the Church to thank God for your child and pray for his blessing on the child’s future
• A Service of Baptism. This is about your child’s membership of the Church, as you commit to helping him or her grow up in Christian faith, and as part of the Church

We do both of these as part of a main service at St. John’s, at 10:30am on Sunday mornings.

We’d be very happy to meet and talk with you about which service is right for your child, and together we can find a date that fits with the Church’s programme, and works for you as well.
