Prodigal Bikes

Prodigal Bikes is a local charity that works in the UK to refurbish bikes with people who need a second chance in life by providing work experience and fellowship. The bikes are then shipped to East Africa or given to local refugees.

Currently they have several hundred bikes across Kenya, and Malawi, where they are used by school children, teachers and medical services and maintained by staff and volunteers that partner with them there. Prodigal Bikes soon hope to add Tanzania to their supported countries.

They’d like to ask for your prayers in their work. Their particular needs are finances, and more committed volunteers to help their work in everything from bike overhaul to fundraising. If you would like to know more, visit www.prodigalbikes.co.uk, find them on Facebook, or speak to Calum McFarlane and Tim Neville who are trustees.
