Children and Youth

St John’s offers a range of groups and activities for children and young people. Sunday morning groups are provided during the 10:30am service for children aged 0 to 16 years. Groups for young people aged 11 to 18 years also meet on Friday and Sunday evenings – see the youth page for details.

We aim to offer a fun and safe environment for young people to develop a strong and lasting relationship with Jesus.

Children

Children’s groups take place on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays during the 10:30am service. On the first and fifth Sundays, we have all age services for which children stay in the service. The following...

Youth @ St John’s

Our key aims are to see the young people of Yeovil coming to know and love Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, fully grasping God’s amazing, gracious love for them; and then helping them to grow into mature disciples who are equipped to live out, and be active in sharing the good news of Jesus with others. In order to work towards these goals, we have a variety of activities for 11-18 year olds. Friday Youth Who? School...

Safeguarding / Child protection

St John’s takes the safety and protection of children very seriously. We insist on CRB checks for all people involved in youth work or who have regular contact with children and young people. In addition, we run training courses on safeguarding to ensure that those who work with young people are aware of all the risks.

Our safeguarding officer, Ann Thurgood, is the person to contact if you have any concerns around the welfare of a child or adult with vulnerability. Ann can be contacted on 07810 214181 or via email to safeguarding@sjyeovil.org.uk. Read our safeguarding policy here.
